3 weeks ago we returned from a 3 week road trip to Dunning, Nebraska where we visited a 40,000 acre cattle ranch that belonged to my friend's grandmother. The ranch was litterally in the middle of freaking no where, but it was beautiful and bursting with land as far as the eye can see. My favorite part (besides being disconnected from technology) was the river that ran through the property and going tanking. Very shallow, all sand (no rocks), clear water, and no weird fish (human eating sharks) or creatures in it. Best river I have ever been in!
While on the roadtrip we made sure to make some extra stops (actually long drives out of the way) to see some other sites. We toured through South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park (where the buffalo roam), Colorado to see Denver/Estes (stayed at the Stanley Hotel)/Rocky Mountian National Park/Grand Lake, went through Kentucky for a business meeting (amazing horse country), ended with a few days in Myrtle Beach for a wedding, and Wilmington, otherwise we would have kept going all the way to Cali.
Now I am going to let our photos tell you the rest of our story to keep from boring you with an overly long blog post! Enjoy!
